Daranee Dispatches: May!

With assignment deadlines looming near and exams to study for, the CEN8Gold volunteers have had a busy month.

The Art Facilitation team have been meeting weekly to go over the final details for June’s children’s art exhibition, My Dreams, My World. This month we got to talk with Chloe who is a part of the art exhibition curating team and who also helps facilitate the CEN8Kids Art Clubs.  When asked what we could look forward to at the exhibition she said, “It is about seeing the world around the kids in their art. The children had a lot of fun creating their pieces.”

The Arts team also ran a bake sale in Goldsmiths library on the 25 and 25 May which raised over £155!! The cakes on sale were made by Goldsmiths student volunteers and were delicious – many thanks to Hazel, Chloe, Hermela and Laila for their baking talents.

My Dreams, My World takes place in Out of the Brew, 306 New Cross Road, New Cross between Wednesday 8 and Saturday 10 June from 11.00 – 5.00.  Please come and visit!
