MA in Media and Communications and I graduated in December 2018
What did you do as a CEN8 volunteer?
I did work for social media communication and was in charge of the Instagram account.
What was the most useful thing you learned by being a volunteer?
Team spirit. To work as a team, and we could jointly deliver great results.
What was the best thing about volunteering?
The feeling of kindness, passing from one person to another. Volunteering contributes to a better community and society.
What have you been up to since leaving Goldsmiths?
My first job was as a management trainee in an education group. After that, I changed to an investment group and now I am undertaking the media and communication role. My company is establishing the stadium for the 2021 Summer World University Games, and hope to see Goldsmiths’ alumni there.
Has/how volunteering for CEN8 impacted on you since you left?
CEN8 is the start of my volunteer road. The experience at CEN8 aroused my interest in volunteering and I kept doing volunteer work after leaving CEN8.
Besides, volunteering for CEN8 has helped me improve my self-confidence, because Gill and other pals at CEN8 were always friendly and encouraged me to achieve my ideas. I really appreciated that.
What career advice would you students currently at university?
Try to connect to more people in your ideal industry and you will know more about your future career.
